Fresno’s McCaffrey Homes has been named a “Housing Giant” by Professional Builder magazine for the sixth consecutive year.

The magazine ranks homebuilders by total revenues last year, listing the top 245 in the nation. McCaffrey ranks 217th on the list based on more than $46,47 million in revenues for the sales of 138 homes.

The company also reported $221,149 in additional, unspecified revenues.

This year’s ranking is a slight drop from McCaffrey’s listing at 215 in the previous year’s list.

“To be named among the nation’s top builders by Professional Builder demonstrates the value of our homes and our communities within the Central Valley,” Brent M. McCaffrey, the company’s president, said in a written statement. “Being recognized again on this prestigious list is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire McCaffrey Homes team.”

Firms that wish to be considered for the Housing Giants list must complete a questionnaire that includes the types of homes they build, average square footage, revenue and closings, the press release continues.

This year, the Housing Giant list was topped by Texas-based D.R. Horton, which has come in first at least since 2013. The company reported revenues topping $14,04 billion from 47,135 home sales last year in 27 states, which included some in the Central Valley and other parts of California.

D.R. Horton also reported more than $479.5 million in additional revenues.

Coming in second was Florida-based Lennar Corporation, with sales last year totaling more than $11 billion, which included sales in California.
