The Marjaree Mason Center announced Thursday that CEO Nicole Linder will begin to transition from her role over the next several months.

Linder guided the organization devoted to supporting survivors of domestic violence through nine years of growth, expanding its reach, strengthening programs and elevating its role in the community, according to a news release.

Under her leadership, the nonprofit saw significant growth in support and opened its new facility — the Isnardi Foundation building — furthering capacity and reach.

“Leading the Marjaree Mason Center has been the honor of my career. I am deeply proud of all that we have accomplished together and confident in the strength of our team, our partners, our mission and community impact. While it is not easy to step away, I believe that it is the responsibility of organizations to make transitions while things are on solid ground and know this is the right time for me and for the Marjaree Mason Center.”

Linder expressed that her decision comes at a time when the center is in a strong position to undergo leadership transition and sees the organization in an opportune place to build on its momentum.

Linder plans to step aside in order to spend more time with her family, according to the release.

“Nicole has been an extraordinary leader whose vision and dedication have transformed the Marjaree Mason Center,” said Board President Kerri Horn. “Her legacy of impact will continue to benefit our community for years to come. The Board is committed to honoring her accomplishments while moving forward with a careful and inclusive process to identify the organization’s next leader.”

The Marjaree Mason Center Board of Directors looks to lead a recruitment process, with updates expected in the coming months.

The organization will maintain its commitment and mission to deliver consistent services for all experiencing domestic violence.

For over 45 years, the Marjaree Mason Center has served as a primary resource for adults and children affected by domestic violence in Fresno County. The center offers comprehensive services, including support, shelter, resources and counseling.
