MADE Central California is once again bringing a tasty experience to foodies in Fresno.

The two-day event connects public attendees to food industry professionals in the Central Valley who also gain exposure to retail buyers. The event will feature food tasting, awards and a cooking competition.

The event kicks off Nov. 2 for exhibitor setup and industry connections, along with the 5 p.m. Fresno Chamber Ag Awards.

Friday’s festivities include a trade show and public event. The day is kicked off with a breakfast alongside networking opportunities and the chance to engage with a panel of industry leaders. The B2B trade show will follow, featuring food and beverage producers who will showcase their products to qualified buyers.

Fresno First Bank will then host its Pressure Cooker competition. MADE exhibitors compete for a chance to win a $10,000 cash prize. The competition will be televised in partnership with KSEE 24 and CBS 47. Winners will be announced at the public event, which will be hosted later in the evening.

“We are excited to extend our support to MADE and the FFB Bank Pressure Cooker this year as we join forces with the local community to foster growth and innovation,” said Matt Tymn, chief marketing/revenue officer at FFB Bank in a news release “We firmly believe in the power of entrepreneurship and its significant impact on the economic landscape. By supporting initiatives like MADE, we hope to empower entrepreneurs, uplift food businesses, and showcase the exceptional talent within the valley.”

Friday’s public event begins at 5:30 p.m., in partnership with Fresno Street Eats and Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co.

There will be a festival vibe and live DJ. MADE’s public event provides a platform for food and beverage brands to connect and engage with consumers, and a chance for the local community to experience the region’s thriving food industry, according to a news release.

The Made Food Expo named My Guy Market as its “Rising Star” in the world of Fresno foodie delights. Chef Eddie Wutangsy, founder of My Guy Market, creates NYC-style chopped cheese sandwiches and brings the authentic flavors and experience of The Big Apple to Fresno.

“Being singled out as a Rising Star at Fresno’s Made Food Expo speaks volumes about our team’s passion and dedication. At ‘My Guy Market’, our journey has been about presenting food that tells a unique cultural story while setting new benchmarks for community activation and marketing. This acknowledgment further fuels our passion,” said Chef Wutagsy in a press release.

The “Rising Stars” category highlights businesses that offer exceptional products and have a different vision for the future of culinary arts. Made Food Expo has spotlighted various players in the food sector and the trends they have created.

“My Guy Market has changed the game for foodies in Fresno. Not only are they serving up a Bodega-style chopped cheese that hasn’t been seen here before, but their business model, delivery style and guerrilla marketing are revolutionizing the way people eat here,” said Mike Osegueda, President at Fresno Street Eats.
