A longtime Fresno sports director for CBS47/KSEE24 is starting a new chapter as he heads to Sacramento.
Andrew Marden has been in Fresno for 16 years. He will now be the new sports director at KTXL FOX40 in Sacramento. His first day there will be Feb. 19.
KTXL is owned by the same company as KGPE/KSEE, so Marden will still be an employee of Nexstar Media Group.

Marden moved to Fresno in February 2008, hired as the weekend sports anchor at KGPE (CBS47) where he worked with George Takata.
The CBS47 and KSEE24 stations merged in the fall of 2013, and in March 2014, Marden officially became the sports director at KGPE/KSEE.
“I have enjoyed my time in Fresno. I covered Josh Allen when he was in high school, and I was able to cover Derek Carr, Paul George, and Aaron Judge when they were all in college. In my new role, I can still report on local athletes and share their stories. I will also be able to cover professional sports, most notably the NBA’s Sacramento Kings,” Marden said.
The New Jersey native is a graduate of Syracuse University and previously worked at KNBN in Rapid City, South Dakota, and KBCI in Boise, Idaho.
As he leaves the Central Valley, he proudly says he has been to every town. He has also traveled the country and the world for work, covering multiple Super Bowls and Olympics as a company correspondent.
