Health and wellness brand marketing firm Baker Dillon Group LLC in Clovis has announced expanded services by adding a media training team to serve doctors seeking to enhance their presentation skills. The firm’s media training team will offer its services nationwide.

The Baker Dillon Group media training team will initially consist of five experienced and award-winning television and print news professionals. Training programs are designed to position doctors as a credible, authoritative voice in the health and wellness community.

“Health professionals are in high demand in the media to deliver sharp, informed, and thoughtful messaging to audiences hungry for trusted insights,” said Sheldon Baker, Baker Dillon Group CEO and team leader.

“Providing in-person training nationwide, our goal is to ensure health professionals make an impact, whether interfacing with the media, participating on podcasts, in a print interview, or speaking at industry or public events,” added Baker.

Serving as an editor-at-large for consumer and trade health and wellness publications, Baker has found many doctors lack the necessary skills needed to deliver their message with impact.

Michael A. Smith, MD, and director of education for Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based Life Extension, said the company’s staff doctors were trained in preparation for appearances on the late Suzanne Somers Balancing Act television show. “Everything from how to respond to questions, dress, sit, and more were covered by the training team,” said Dr. Smith. “The information was invaluable and evergreen in nature.”

Former co-founder and president of Boise, Idaho-based Richardson Labs, Mark Priddy, said media training helped their staff doctor bring company messages to life during every conceivable type of interview. “Training prepared our doctor to convey real alternative health product benefits in layman’s terms to garner consumer attention.”

“We feel media training provides results that speak for themselves,” said Baker.
