Stafford’s Chocolates just got a bit sweeter with the unveiling of its latest creation, inspired by the high-quality and opulent spice markets of the Middle East.
Stafford’s Dubai Chocolate Bar hit the shelves Friday at all Stafford’s Chocolates and Reimer’s Candies and Ice Cream locations. Featuring limited-edition packaging with green and gold accents, the chocolate aims to add a touch of elegance to the chocolatier’s lineup, according to a news release.
Dubai chocolate has gained viral popularity on social media platforms including TikTok.
“This bar celebrates more than taste — it celebrates storytelling through chocolate,” said Rob Taylor, owner of Stafford’s Chocolates. “We wanted to create something that reflects the luxurious and adventurous spirit of Dubai while honoring the craftsmanship and quality our customers expect — and that includes using the best ingredients grown right here in California and our secret twist on this special bar.”
Founded in 1987 by Larry Stafford, Stafford’s Chocolates was purchased by the Taylor family in 2011 and has been known in the Valley for its handcrafted premium confections for decades.
Stafford’s has been expanding into new ventures over the past several years; in 2023 they acquired Reimer’s Candies, Gifts & Ice Cream in Three Rivers, Avila Beach and Oakhurst. Additionally, the Taylor family owns Mama Ganache Artisan Chocolates in San Luis Obispo and co-own Solvang-based Swedish Candy Factory.
Alongside Rob, the Taylor’s son, Ben, is head chocolatier at Mama Ganache in San Luis Obispo, and is an integral part in many of the operation’s creative projects, according to the release.
