Christina Musson, a KMJ radio host in Fresno, is the winner of the Gracie Awards 2023 Local Radio Co-Host of the Year.
“I’m shocked and honored to receive such a prestigious national award. I couldn’t do what I do every day without John Broeske, Blake Taylor and the entire KMJ Team – who set the bar for excellence high. I love what I do and I thank the Alliance for Women in the Media Foundation for recognizing that with this award,“ Musson stated.
The Alliance for Women in the Media Foundation said the Gracies “recognize outstanding programming and individual achievement created by women, for women, and about women in all facets of media in news and entertainment.”
Musson co-hosts the Broeske & Musson Show with KMJ host and programmer John Broeske. The program airs weekdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
“This honor is not a shock. It’s well deserved. Christina has a passion and drive for delivering a great radio show every day. And Broeske & Musson’s dominant ratings reflect that,” said KMJ Program Director Blake Taylor.
Musson has been with KMJ for 13 years, starting as the morning weekday traffic reporter and producer for the Ray Appleton Show before co-hosting the Broeske & Musson Show.
The Fresno native and Edison High School graduate studied broadcast journalism and theatre arts at New York University. After graduating, Musson went on to produce the morning and midday shows at KGPE CBS 47 and KMPH Fox 26 in Fresno and reported at KAPP ABC 35 in Yakima, Washington between 2006-2009.
