A popular sandwich chain is prepping for its grand opening in Visalia this week.

Jersey Mike’s Subs will be holding a grand opening and a fun raising event from June 28 to July 2 at 3301 Mooney Blvd. in Visalia.

Franchise owner of the new Jersey Mike’s, Alvaro Garcia, is hosting the fund raiser to support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children and Valley Children’s Hospital.

“For this opening we have partnered with Valley Children’s Hospital and CASA for Children,” said David Barrett, Director of Operations.  “At Jersey Mike’s our fundraising partnerships create a layer of sustainability for schools, youth sports leagues, and other nonprofits in and around our city.”

Customers who received a special fundraising coupon distributed through a grass roots effort prior to the opening can make a minimum $3 contribution to CASA for Children and Valley Children’s Hospital in exchange for a regular sub.

Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.
