Fresno’s newest Halloween destination is set to open in the fall with the debut of Fresno Fright Nights opening Oct. 3 at Island Waterpark.
The experience will feature four themed haunts, including a quarter-mile walk through an abandoned chemical plant, a haunted cemetery, Night Crawlers Pizza and the Blood River Bayou Swamp.
The attraction is designed by Allen Hopps, a nationally recognized haunt expert and past president of the Haunted Attraction Association.
Hopps has decades of experience and is best known for his work with Stilt Beast Studios and Dark Hour Haunts.
Fresno Fright Nights will include food trucks, 12 horror-themed photo ops, two adult beverage bars, pumpkin treats and nightly live entertainment.
While hosted at Island Waterpark in Northwest Fresno, Fresno Fright Nights is operated independently by Immersive Attractions Group, LLC. Multiple Island Waterpark staff members will assist with the operation of the haunt.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Fresno Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Sept. 27. The season runs through Nov. 1.
The news release states, “This attraction promises to deliver intense scares, immersive storytelling and Hollywood-level special effects, aiming to become a premier Halloween destination in California.”
