A group of Fresno-area business have made a list of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S.

Inc. magazine put out its annual Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies on Tuesday. Eight local companies made the list, which looks at revenue growth in a three-year period — 2017 to 2020.

Balanced Comfort was the highest ranked local company, coming in at No. 817 with three-year revenue growth of 595%. Based in Fresno, Balanced Comfort provides homes and businesses with energy efficiency services, including HVAC, insulation, weatherization and home performance. It was founded in 2012 and Aaron Husak is the owner and CEO.

I Life & Health Insurance Services came in at No. 910 with growth of 532%. The health insurance sales agency is one of the newest companies on the list, founded in 2017. Its CEO is Raymond Giudici.

Bitwise Industries was ranked No. 1,522 with 309% growth. The technology/real estate company was founded in 2013 and its co-CEOs are Irma Olguin Jr. and Jake Soberal.

Bitwise was also recognized by national publication Fortune magazine as a Top Ten U.S. company to work for: The No. 8 Best Small and Medium Workplaces for Millennials, and No. 9 Best Small & Medium Workplaces 2021. In addition, Olguin Jr. and co-CEO Jake Soberal were awarded the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneurs of the Year title on Aug. 5.

EKC Enterprises was ranked No. 3,307 with 109% growth. It provides low voltage integration services, audio/video installation, network cabling, security cameras and access control. It was founded in 2003 and its principal is Chris Shafer.

Raisels was ranked 3,813 with 85% growth. Founded in 2007, the flavored raisin snack is produced by National Raisin Company in Fowler. The CEO is LindaKay Abdulian.

Pacific Gold Marketing ranked at No. 3,933 with 79% growth. The heavy civil contractor specializes in utility construction and the renewable market. Based in Fresno, its principal is Ashley Clark. It was founded in 1990.

This is the sixth time Pacific Gold marketing has made the Inc. 5000 list.

Lee’s Air, Plumbing & Heating ranked at 4,843 with 45% growth. Founded in 1981, Lee’s Air is led by Thomas Howard. This is its fifth time on the list.

Clark Bros. Construction ranked at 4,956 with 40% growth. Founded in 1968, it provides mass and fine grading, excavation, structural concrete, paving work and more. Lawrence Clark is its principal and this is the fifth time on the list.

The top company on the list is located just up the road in Lathrop near Stockton. Human Bees is a staffing company founded in 2012. It experienced 48,345% revenue growth in three years.

Its clients include Tesla, FedEx and Foster Farms. Human Bees did $70 million in revenue in 2020 and expects to do more than $150 million this year.
