Northstar Courts will be hosting a community celebration and ribbing cutting for the new, 72-unit affordable and supportive housing development in Hanford on Thursday.
Northstar Courts — located on Northstar Drive, just west of Highway 43 — is now leasing 1-, 2- and 3 bedbedrooms units in a three-story structure.
Illinois-based UPholdings and Visalia’s Low income housing development organization Self-help Enterprises are the co-developers and owners of the project.
The property has on-site laundry facilities, indoor and outdoor amenity spaces including a playground, community room, and individual and group-based service spaces.
Funding came through 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits, soft funding from the Department of Housing and Community Development from the No Place Like Home funds, the City of Hanford Permanent Local Housing Allocation Program, Kings County Whole Person Care pilot, Kings County Human Services Agency’s Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevent Grant, private investment, and private financing.
