The City of Fresno announced the groundbreaking Tuesday of the new Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling distribution facility in South Fresno.

The 205,000 square-foot distribution facility located at 998 E. North Ave. will replace the current 60,000 square-foot facility currently operating in Malaga.

Design features for the new building include a larger warehouse with employee amenities, a truck maintenance and wash facility, plans for solar and electric vehicles and drought resistant landscaping on 15 acres.

The new facility will utilize cutting edge technologies, streamline distribution processes and ensure efficient supply chain management with a focus on safety and sustainability, according to a news release from Miguel Arias with the Fresno City Council.

The project is expected complete by June 2024.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to build on our more than 30-year history with the City of Fresno and the Central Valley,” said Lauren Ruiz, Central Valley Market Unit President for Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling.

The company also made a $300,000 donation to the South Central Community Benefits Fund to support various environmental mitigation efforts in the South Central Fresno area.

“Throughout many months of collaboration, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling has diligently worked together with the city to ensure that the development of the new facility would be advantageous to both the company and the residents of the South Central Fresno community,” Arias said.
