Longtime listeners of the popular 93.7 FM station Kiss Country might recognize a familiar voice on the local traffic report.

According to Steve Pleshi, program director for the Cumulus Media station, well-liked host Greg Lane has returned to host the afternoon traffic report shared by sister channels Kiss Country and KMJ 580AM/105.9 FM, and is pulling co-hosting duties with Kiss Country host Stephan “Carp” Carpenter.

Pleshi said they’d been trying to find a slot for him since he was let go from iHeart Radio earlier this year and saw the right opportunity with the retirement of Mark Holste in late November.

Lane had been a fixture on Fresno radio for nearly three decades, first with Kiss Country then 102.7 The Wolf for four years until he was let go.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Greg Lane back to the Cumulus/KISS Country-KMJ family,” Pleshi said. “It was our goal to get him back here as soon as he became a free agent, and we’re lucky that the opportunity arose where we could bring him back.”

Lane will additionally be hosting for Kiss Country next month on Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and will host a Saturday news show on KMJ.
