A Fresno agricultural company has been recognized as one of the most investment-worthy companies in the U.S. by a leading business school.
Eco2Mix, a water solutions provider in Fresno, made the 2025 list of Most Fundable Companies published by the Pepperdine Graziado Business School. A total of 14 startups were chosen for the list from a pool of more than 2,300 applicants nationwide.
Eco2Mix is a fully automated system for maintaining pH control in irrigation water. By injecting carbon dioxide into high pH (alkaline) water, carbonic acid is produced, which acts to buffer the pH levels. That increases nutrient uptake, avoids clogging drip irrigation lines and helps soil biology, according to Eco2Mix.
The company was founded about eight years ago.
The Most Fundable Companies program identifies startups that are the most “investor-ready,” said Craig Everett, executive director of the Pepperdine Private Capital Market Project and Most Fundable Companies program.
“Our proprietary methodology mirrors the diligence process used by angel investors and venture capitalists, giving the winners credibility and visibility with the investment community,” Everett said.
The program was launched in 2018 and invites all U.S. based startups with annual revenues of less than $10 million to compete.
The companies are evaluated based on financial projections, market opportunity, intellectual property, competitive advantage and management team strength.

A panel of investors, venture advisors and Pepperdine faculty review submissions to identify the most fundable ventures.
Waldo Moraga, CEO and president of Eco2Mix, said participating in the program — including interviews and coaching with judges and mentors at Pepperdine — was a great experience.
Being selected out of more than 2,300 companies is an honor, he added.
“If we look for investment, or try to validate what we are doing, it’s a complete validation from a respected business university,” Moraga said. “Plant health and saving agriculture — that’s why I created this company.”
The award affirms the business model and shows Eco2Mix is a company that is going to stay around a lot longer, Moraga said.
The winners were celebrated at an unveiling event at Pepperdine University’s campus in Malibu.
