Fresno’s latest recreational cannabis dispensary is set to open Sunday, the fourth such shop to open in town since 2022.

Kacey Auston, the local owner of the Cookies dispensary, announced on social media the shop would open Sunday at 5048 Blackstone Ave. near Shaw Avenue.

The Cookies website is taking RSVPs for the event.

Cookies is a cannabis culture brand and franchise founded by Bay Area rapper Gilbert Milam Jr., known by the stage name Berner.

Berner is expected to attend the opening event.

According to the Cookies’ website, the franchise has 55 stores in four countries.

Berner said in a recent Instagram post that he was planning to interview candidates for the shop personally. Cookies is expected to create 45 jobs with benefits and serve 19 customers per hour and 250 customers per day.

There’s another Cookies-branded recreational cannabis dispensary in Coalinga that is the region’s only consumption lounge, where customers can use products onsite.

The Station 559, Fresno’s third dispensary, opened last month at 618 Shaw Avenue across from Fashion Fair Mall.
