Fresno Unified is actively seeking future teacher candidates for the 2017-2018 school year.

The district is hosting an expo Tuesday for aspiring teachers looking to apply for various open teaching positions including multi-subject, special education, science and career technical education teachers. The expo will feature Fresno Unified’s teacher pipeline programs and college and credential programs to support candidates in becoming future teachers.

“Fresno Unified is committed to hiring the best and brightest to teach our kids in the classroom,” Interim Superintendent Bob Nelson said in a statement. “During this expo, we hope to not just find quality candidates, but hire local teachers who are passionate about student success in Fresno.”

The expo will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at McLane High School.

Candidates can pre-register for the expo at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/aspiring-teacher-expo-spring-2017-tickets-32506480759

Attendees should dress in professional attire and bring resumes, letters and recommendation, and transcripts.
