Fresno Street Eats hosted its first FoodieLicious gathering Saturday — a food truck event Mike Oz said will take place monthly for foodies at the River Park shopping Center.
Oz, president of Fresno Street Eats, said the event caters to people looking to try new, adventurous food items. In addition to food trucks, FoodieLicious will also shine a light on River Park eateries and shops.
“All in all, we’re just trying to have a cool food experience,” Oz said. “We don’t want to overdo it, so we’re doing it once a month — trying to capture that spirit.”
Fresno Street Eats, which hosts dozens of events weekly throughout the Valley, will host its monthly event in the familiar space to attendees of the River Park Farmers Market, which takes place weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
FoodieLicious saw around 30 food trucks sign up for the first event, which also saw local restaurants and shops participate with deals of their own. Guests were also invited to enjoy live music from area DJs, headlined by local band The Box, as well as activities and games hosted by Fresno Social Sports.
“It’s really just kind of a cool opportunity to go out and experience all of this stuff in one place,” Oz said.
Vendors interested in participating can learn more by emailing Fresno Street Eats or by reaching out via social media.
Oz hopes to bring new vendors to the monthly event in order to keep things fresh and provide variety for repeat FoodieLicious attendees.
Oz and Fresno Street Eats are hoping the newly founded partnership between the company and River Park continues to blossom.
“This was at the top of our list and they’re [River Park] into it,” Oz said. “We’re really happy to be developing this together.”
