Fresno State will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Visalia campus Oct. 26, starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Fresno State Visalia Campus is a newly remodeled 10,000-square-foot, four-classroom building at College of the Sequoias. Located on the southeast side of the COS campus at Shady and Meadow streets, the Fresno State Visalia Campus will deliver both state-funded and self-supported programs.
The first courses being offered this fall are non-credit professional development courses. Future plans will explore degree and certificate programs targeted at working professionals.
“After decades of striving to provide four-year university access for our students in the south Valley, COS and Fresno State have reached agreement to partner and open the Fresno State Visalia Campus,” Stan Carrizosa, COS superintendent and president, said in a statement.
The ribbon cutting will be held at the Live Oak building on the COS campus at 915 S. Mooney. Following the ribbon cutting will be an open house and reception. Parking will be relaxed in Lot 7 during the event. To RSVP, contact Visalia@csufresno.edu.
