The Fresno Police and Neighborhood Watch Organization is searching for a local consultant to assist in the organization’s development of a five-year strategic plan, aiming to expand the reach of the nonprofit organization’s ability to keep Fresno neighborhoods safe.
Reestablished in 2022, the Fresno Police and Neighborhood Watch aims to educate, empower and engage local residents to collaborate with one another and law enforcement to improve community safety and quality of life.
“This crucial role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our neighborhood watch program,” said Fresno Police and Neighborhood Watch Executive Director Mary Haskin. “We believe that finding the right individual will significantly contribute to the success of our community safety initiatives.”
The strategic planning project – expected to begin this April – will seek to find consultants that are able to provide their expertise to develop achievable objectives, as well as measure the organization’s progress as well as efficiently allocate resources. Their work will aid the board of directors in its decision making.
Candidates should possess a strong background in several areas including community building for diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as background in organizational development and project management.
“We believe that by bringing in someone with these skills, we can enhance our ability to proactively address safety concerns, engage community members effectively and build a stronger foundation for collaborative efforts for a safer and improved quality of life in Fresno for all,” Haskin said.
Interested consultants are asked to submit a letter of interest, as well as a detailed work plan proposal and a proposed budget. These documents can be submitted to the organization via email. The deadline for submitting applications is Feb. 28.
