Fresno native and “The Voice” season 22 contestant Alyssa Witrado will perform with The Monsanto Band this Friday at the ApCal Rock’N Ranch Cinco de Mayo concert in Madera.

Born in Fresno to a musical household, Witrado, 20, turned to music following her parents’ divorce when she was 9. No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” became her personal anthem following her parents’ divorce. She also performed Selena’s “Dreaming of You” in the live Top 13 episode of The Voice.

The Monsanto Band covers Latin hits and artists and is a local favorite in the Central Valley.

The Monsanto Band will be joined by The Band August, featuring rhythm and soul, Chicago-style rock, soul and R&B.

ApCal Rock’N Ranch is located at 7409 Rd 32 in Madera and features a 40-foot stage, 1,600 square-foot dance floor and bar, featuring selections from Riley’s Brewing as well as local and national wines and spirits. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, pop-up tents or umbrellas for shade.

Tickets for the event are $20 in advance and $30 at the door and are available online. Gates will open at 5 p.m. with 50% off beer and wine from 5-6 p.m. Music will start at 7 p.m.
