Fresno residents can once again celebrate the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza at Chukchansi Park — for free.

The annual event welcomes the community to enjoy fireworks after the Grizzlies’ baseball game. Last year Chukchansi Park sold out on July 4, with 11,302 people in attendance for the game. After the game, the field was filled with members of the community to enjoy the show.

Councilmember Miguel Arias on Thursday announced during the regular council meeting that Chukchansi Park would again host the Fourth of July celebration.

“Free admission to the firework show, gates will open after the 7th inning of the [The Fresno Grizzlies] baseball game!” posted Arias on Instagram Thursday.

Fresno Grizzlies Director of Marketing and Communications Jonathan Bravo said that Chukchansi Park is excited to celebrate its annual Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza this season with the addition of opening gates for free to the public after the 7th inning.

“This event sells out every year and, with us once again being on pace to reach that marker, we are looking forward to sharing this long standing tradition with even more members of our community thanks to this new partnership with the City of Fresno. We are proud to host the best Fourth of July celebration in the Central Valley and look forward to this year being the biggest it has ever been,” said Bravo.
