The Fresno Chamber of Commerce has announced this year’s Ag Awards recipients.

The 2023 Ag Awards recipients, selected by the chamber in collaboration with the Fresno County Farm Bureau, will be honored at the Ag Awards Celebration on Nov. 2 at the Fresno Convention Center during the MADE Central California event.

The Moss Adams Agribusiness of the Year award goes to John DeGroot and Son Dairy of Fresno County.

Elizabeth Hudson of Hudson Farms in Sanger won the Agriculturalist of the Year Award.

AGvocate of the Year Award goes to John Alkire, CEO of the nonprofit The Friends of the Big Fresno Fair.

Maribel Cortes of Woolf Farming received the Agricultural Employee of the Year award.

“These awards symbolize vital facets of Fresno’s agricultural community,” remarked Scott Miller, CEO & President of Fresno Chamber of Commerce “Since the inclusion of the AGvocate and Agricultural Employee of the Year Awards in 2021, the Ag Awards Celebration has expanded its recognition to include those who play pivotal roles in the prosperity of our local industry and the broader Central Valley.”

The Ag Awards will also be honoring Kathleen Nave, president of the California Table Grape Commission in Fresno, with the Lifetime of Service Award for significant contributions to Fresno County agriculture.
