The Painted Table catering company announced a new addition to its team, pastry “maestro” Julian Coronado, the pastry chef behind Belladonna Baking Co.

Belladonna Baking Co. is a boutique bakery based in Fresno crafting customized artisan wedding cakes.

“This exciting merger represents a fusion of art and culinary expertise that promises to elevate wedding cakes and pastries to new heights,” said a news release by The Painted Table.

Coronado began his journey as a pastry chef from a passion for design and product development. He studied at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. There he built his foundation, combined with his culinary prowess, setting the stage for creating wedding cakes that transcend tradition and become genuine works of art.

Coronado’s culinary journey continued with his graduation from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley. There he was able to learn and work at Michelin Star properties. The institute allowed him to hone the skills necessary to bring his artistic visions to life.

Beyond wedding cakes, the press release said Coronado finds joy in the art of hand-kneading dough, the aroma of freshly baked bread, and the meticulous craftsmanship required to create French pastries. Coronado enjoys collaborating with couples who dream of immersing themselves in a world of wonder and magic on their wedding day.

“Drawing inspiration from diverse sources such as architecture, textiles, color trends, and the ever-changing seasons of life, Julian’s custom cakes are a perfect blend of creativity and culinary excellence. He prides himself on sourcing only the finest ingredients to ensure that the taste harmonizes with the visual splendor of his creations,” the press release said.

The Painted Table said this merger represents more than a union of businesses but the fusion of creative spirits dedicated to crafting extraordinary culinary experiences.
