If you’re looking for Fresno’s Mazda and Subaru car dealerships, you’ll have to look in new places.

That’s because the two dealers swapped lots earlier this month, with Lithia Subaru of Fresno moving from its home at 5499 N. Blackstone Ave. less than a half mile south to 5212 N Blackstone Ave., the former Fresno Mazda lot which moved to the former Subaru lot.

The two dealerships quietly closed on Oct. 18 and opened at their new locations the following day.

Besides having a new home, the Mazda dealership has a new name, “Prieto’s Fresno Mazda,” as just before the moves, that dealership’s owner, Harris Auto Group, sold it to Manuel Prieto, owner of Sanger Chevrolet Buick GMC and Sonora Ford-Subaru.

“We are excited about our new location,” he stated in a press release. “The new facility is much larger and state of the art. It allows us to increase our inventory so that we now can serve buyers from Merced to Bakersfield.

“Fresno Mazda is well positioned to be the number-one Mazda dealership in Central California, providing the service Mazda customers want and deserve.”
