Raising Cane’s will donate more than $1,500 raised from six restaurants across Fresno to the Animal Compassion Team (ACT) to raise awareness of the organization’s mission to help find shelter pets a home on National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day (April 30).
The funds, which were raised from March 19 through April 29 through the sale of a limited-edition Golden Plush Puppy collectible plus, aim to help drive support for organizations promoting animal welfare and communities across the country. 100% of proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to ACT.
“We’ve had a very successful relationship with Raising Cane’s since they came to the Central Valley nearly four years ago,” said Doug Gray, a volunteer at Animal Compassion Team (ACT). “Their support helps us give hope to animals looking for a home, and with this donation, Cane’s is once again helping make the valley a better place for pets and the people who love them.”
Todd Graves, owner and founder of Raising Cane’s, has aimed to generate attention for animal welfare since founding the company nearly 30 years ago, even naming Raising Cane’s after his own dog.
Since Raising Cane’s was founded the brand has donated more than $140 million to more than 30,000 local organizations and nonprofit organizations.
