The Fresno County Superior Court’s M Street Courthouse is temporarily closed due to a flooding incident.

Located at 2317 Tuolumne St., the courthouse is closed to the public for the remainder of Thursday, Sept. 4. The source of the flood is currently under investigation.

To ensure courtroom operations are not disrupted, the following temporary reassignments have been made:

  •         Traffic Clerk’s Office has been relocated to the Main Courthouse, 4th Floor.
  •         Dept. 97A has been relocated to Dept. 73 (Main Courthouse), Judge Luna presiding.
  •         Dept. 97B has been relocated to Dept. 74 (Main Courthouse), Judge Guerra presiding.
  •         Dept. 97D has been relocated to Dept. 503 (Sisk Courthouse), Judge Whalen presiding.
  •         Dept. 97E has been relocated to Dept. 403 (Sisk Courthouse), Judge Maria Diaz presiding.

This action has been taken with the health and safety of court employees, justice partners, and the public in mind, according to a news release. The Court is working closely with facilities staff to assess the extent of the damage and to determine next steps for resuming normal operations.

The temporary closure affects only the M Street Courthouse. All other Fresno Superior Court locations remain open and operating as scheduled.

Further updates will be posted on the Court’s website at fresno.courts.ca.gov.
