Pete’s Teriyaki in Fresno celebrated the opening of its second spot last week — a location that regulars have been hoping for since before the pandemic.

First opened in 1993, Pete’s Teriyaki’s original location is at Shaw and Marks avenues. Many of the store’s customers have relocated, driving the decision to open a second location.

“A lot of customers moved to Clovis and have been requesting a location near them,” said a Pete’s Teriyaki spokesperson . “We were finally able to expand to better serve the needs of our customers.”

The opening of their second location is a long time coming, with the company saying their project was put on pause due to COVID-19. Excitement from Clovis customers never wavered though, with Pete’s celebrating their grand opening last week.

Both locations are roughly the same size, with seating for dine in customers. The restaurant also offers take out for customers who order by phone or online.

Both locations will sport the same menu, but offer some limited-time seasonal items like the Holiday Chicken Plate — a variant of their classic Special Fried Chicken plate.
