Kids Earth Day Celebration

Junior Authors Program is hosting a Kids Earth Day Celebration to benefit children who lost homes due to the 2020 Creek Fire. The event is also a celebration for the Junior Authors Program’s first book release, “Where’s My House?”, which was created by children across the globe through a voting-based literacy platform. The event is open to the public and free to attend and will feature youth activities, vendor booths, prizes, food and more.

Founder Susie Harder, a speech-language pathologist and mom who grew up in Tollhouse, launched the Junior Authors concept days after the Creek Fire as her way to support kids from her hometown community.

This project, born as social-emotional support for children who lost homes in the Creek Fire, has quickly evolved into a global fundraising project.
