Fresno State Hosts 2nd Annual Child Abuse & Foster Care Awareness 5K Run/ 1.5 mile Walk

Lace up your running shoes and make a difference! The Social Work Student Associations and Phi Alpha Honors Society at Fresno State proudly invite the community to participate in the 2nd Annual Child Abuse and Foster Care Awareness 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the beautiful Memorial Gardens located at 5241 N. Maple Avenue, Fresno, CA.

This inspiring event aims to raise critical awareness about child abuse prevention and foster care needs, with proceeds supporting advocacy and community education efforts. Together, we can protect the future of our children and uplift families across the Central Valley.

Highlights of the Event:

● ‍♂️ 5K Run starting at 8:00 AM, Walk 1.5K Walk begins at 8:05 am — open to all ages and fitness levels!
● 🎉 Wellness Fair and Food Trucks from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM — enjoy great food, free wellness resources!
● 🎁 Registrants receive a commemorative event T-shirt and medal!
● 🎶 Music, family-friendly atmosphere, and community resource booths!
