Fall Nature Walk at Ledger Island

Sat, Nov 12th, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Enjoy the cool fall weather on this nature walk at Ledger Island! We will be discussing the importance of riparian environments along the San Joaquin River. We’ll also explore the historic oak grove on site and learn about the importance of Valley Oak trees and acorns to indigenous peoples.

Walk may be up to 2 miles in length and last up to 1.5 hours. Please dress appropriately for a morning outdoors (long pants, closed-toed shoes) and bring a reusable water bottle.

All ages welcome. Advanced registration is required; please be sure to include all attendees (including children) when registering. We will be meeting at the Sumner Peck Ranch at 14439 N. Friant Rd, Friant, CA at 9:00 am. Once on site, head straight back on the dirt road and park near the small riverfront house.

Nature walks are free, but a $10 donation per person or $20 donation per family is suggested.
