Tulare will celebrate the grand opening of its first El Pollo Loco on Wednesday, welcoming the SoCal Mexican quick-service restaurant to the neighborhood with a ribbon cutting, free chicken giveaways and more.
The restaurant will celebrate the grand opening by offering free chicken for a year to the first 100 guests in line. Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to spin a prize wheel for a chance to win El Pollo Loco gift cards, branded apparel and other giveaways.
The grand opening will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature Q97.1 KSEQ from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tulare Mayor Terry A. Sayre, as well as food, festivities and prizes. El Pollo Loco is located at 1967 E. Prosperity Ave. in Tulare.
El Pollo Loco was recently named the #1 “Best Restaurant for Quick, Healthy Food,” in a USA Today Readers’ Choice award. The restaurant prides itself on its flame-grilled chicken and quality ingredients at its nearly 500 West Coast stores.
El Pollo Loco opened first in 1980 in Los Angeles, operates in seven states as well as ten licensed restaurants in the Philippines.
