Valley Crime Stoppers has teamed up with a Fresno restaurant popular with our four-legged friends to help prevent crime.

As the first week of September is National Crime Prevention Week, Valley Crime Stoppers is working with Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar on a fundraiser to help support the nonprofit’s mission to fight crime by paying cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to arrest.

Diners are invited to enjoy a meal at Lazy Dog — and even bring their furry companions to the pet-friendly patio — through Thursday, Sept. 4. If they bring or show a screenshot of the flyer below, 15% of their total bill will be donated to Valley Crime Stoppers. People ordering takeout can also donate by using the online coupon code 01FRESNO.

Since 1993, tips made to Valley Crime Stoppers have led to 13,217 total arrests, including 649 for homicide, 903 for domestic violence and 712 for robbery. The organization has paid out nearly $2 million in rewards, according to the Valley Crime Stoppers Website.
