Fresno-based homebuilder De Young Properties is making moves in Fresno and Madera counties.
De Young Sereno has launched at Tesoro Viejo’s new Creekside Village at the master-planned community in Madera. The opening comes on the heels of the launch of the De Young Verano community, which is nearly sold out, according to a news release from Tesoro Viejo.
The community offers an exclusively designed collection of four different single- and two-story floor plans from 1,515 to 2,626 square feet of open living space with up to four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
An interest list for De Young Sereno is now open.
“Our recognition for innovation in design and sustainable living continues with the addition of De Young Sereno at Tesoro Viejo,” said Bob McCaffrey, CEO of Tesoro Viejo Development.
Each home in the community will also be a De Young SmartHome, featuring energy-efficient technology, advanced home automation and connectivity, and green building practices.
The 1,600-acre Tesoro Viejo community was planned for up to 5,190 homes divided among nine villages. Other builders in the community include D.R. Horton and McCaffrey Homes.

Tesoro Viejo also features about 400 acres of permanently preserved natural open space, parks, recreational amenities and trails. Its Town Center, styled after a small-town main street, houses the Madera County Fire Station No. 7, Madera County Sheriff substation and Camarena Health Center. It also includes the AXIS Coffee Bar + Eatery with live music on Friday nights and a certified farmers’ market on Saturday nights.
In Fresno County, De Young Properties is hosting a grand opening event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for its model homes at its Summerlin Walk community at Clinton and Armstrong avenues in Fresno. There will be complimentary food provided by Comfy Food Truck sponsored by Kind Lending while supplies last, a raffle for a $100 restaurant gift card as well as experts representing De Young partners including SunRun Solar, Donald P. Dick Air Conditioning and Ferguson Enterprises.
