The local Better Business Bureau is rolling out a new business bootcamp program in Fresno, and participants who complete it are eligible for $1,000 toward their business.
The BBB Breakthough Growth Surge BootCamp is described as a high-impact, two-day experience designed to give emerging entrepreneurs strategies, tools and insights to accelerate business growth.
Applicants must have a registered business generating revenue for at least six months (up to three years) to participate. Preference will be given to those “showing momentum in their revenue growth and readiness to scale,” according to a BBB announcement.
Participants must be able to attend both days in full, and businesses that complete the entire bootcamp will receive a $1,000 microgrant to support their growth, courtesy of sponsor and web hosting service GoDaddy.
To apply, fill out the application. If accepted, participants have 72 hours to pay the $99 program fee to secure a spot.
Topics to be covered include optimizing operations, mastering marketing strategies and “developing a resilient entrepreneurial mindset and enhancing … online presence,” according to the BBB.
The program is a condensed version of the BBB Breakthrough Accelerator, an 8-10 week course for entrepreneurs that launched in San Diego earlier this year.
The sessions will be led by experts and include customized mentorship.
The program is new to Fresno — the result of a merger that created the BBB Serving the Pacific Southwest, Central & Inland California. The program will run Nov. 14-15 in Fresno, San Diego and Phoenix from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
“Growth Surge creates an energizing environment where credibility, ethics, and community fuel lasting business success,” wrote Matthew Fehling, BBB Pacific Southwest, Central & Inland California president and CEO, on LinkedIn.
