The Community Food Bank in Fresno is the recipient of a $10,000 donation from insurance partners Nationwide Private Client and DiBuduo & DeFendis.

Private Client is Nationwide’s personal lines carrier focused on the affluent market. Its independent agents are given an opportunity to help their communities through charitable donations via the Partners in Giving program.

“People care deeply about organizations with a social mission. They are more likely to support businesses that share their commitment to making a difference,” says Molly Rondeau, vice president of national sales, underwriting, and risk solutions, Nationwide Private Client. “Partners in Giving enables Private Client agents to direct donations to one of the charitable organizations we support, with an emphasis on strengthening our communities and improving people’s lives.”

The money will be used to help provide food for more than 280,000 people each month in Fresno, Madera, Kings, Kern and Tulare counties.

“We are thankful for this generous gift, which alone will serve 100,000 meals for those in need,” said Andy Souza, executive director, Community Food Bank.

“Community Food Bank provides important and much-needed service to our community,” said Matt DeFendis, principal, D&D Insurance. “We are honored to present this donation.”
