The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has recognized Community Health System and Adventist Health with Level 7 honors across multiple categories in its 2025 Digital Health Most Wired Survey.

The internationally recognized benchmarking program honors excellence in digitally-enabled health care, evaluating how organizations use technology to improve care quality, safety and efficiency. Community Health System was honored for its technology in acute, ambulatory and long-term care.

Adventist was honored for acute and ambulatory care.

Both systems were ranked above many of the 50,000 health care facilities worldwide also surveyed, with high marks in clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement and innovation.

“This is such an honor for our team members to be recognized for using information technology to improve patient care, safety, outcomes and making operations more efficient,” said Eric Saff, Community’s senior vice president and chief information officer for Information Technology Services. “This award is a benchmarking tool that validates how well we integrate technology in areas like analytics, infrastructure, patient engagement and clinical care.”

As health care organizations continue to face challenges, including cybersecurity threats, the requirement to accelerate digital transformation has become urgent, according to a news release. Emerging technologies, including AI, look to revolutionize care delivery over the next two decades.

CHIME’s Digital Health Most Wired survey serves as a digital “report card” for health care systems worldwide.
