A year after Fresno got its first “Chipotlane,” Visalia is coming online with its own new drive-thru location of the popular fast-casual Mexican eatery.
The location at 248 Plaza Dr. in Visalia opens Saturday, Dec. 23 at 10:45 a.m. It is the second Chipotle to operate in Visalia and the first with a drive-thru lane available for mobile orders only.
Fresno’s first Chipotle with a drive-thru opened in northwest Fresno at Herndon and Brawley avenues in November 2022.
Chipotle is still hiring in Visalia for the around 25 jobs created per new location. Benefits include a crew bonus opportunity to earn an extra’s month of pay each year, debt-free college degree program, English as a second language and access to mental health care benefits for employees and their families.
It also hosts community fundraisers.
“Chipotle is proud to offer our communities the opportunity to host a fundraiser with 33% of sales given back to the established cause. We offer an in-restaurant and / or digital option to accommodate those who prefer off-premise dining. Organizations wanting to set up a fundraiser can reach out to us via the Philanthropy section of our website at community.chipotle.com/, according to a statement.
Commercial Retail Associates was the exclusive agent in a listing earlier this year of the free-standing Chipotlane building in Visalia, which was offered for sale at $3.17 million and a 4.25% capitalization rate.
Chipotle has a 15-year lease on the building, with rent starting at $135,000 annually with options for a 10% rent increase after years five and 10.
