Body del Sol will offer free facials for cancer patients on Oct. 4.

Body del Sol Medical Spa is hosting a complimentary spa day for patients undergoing cancer therapy on Oct. 4.

The free event for patients will include a facial, chair massage, makeovers from local specialty beauty studio Forever Adorned, hors d’oeuvres and beverages, swag bags and more.

It runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event is also meant to highlight Body del Sol’s line of IS Clinical Cancer Care products, meant to address the different skin effects of cancer treatments. Body del Sol is the only spa in the Valley to carry the line.

“We’ve been looking forward to this day all year! It is a day dedicated to making patients going through cancer treatments feel and look beautiful. Everyone involved has donated their time to create such a special day and we are proud to come together and offer this event,” said Ayde Mendibles, director of spa operations at Body del Sol Medical Spa, in a statement.

Debbi Chacon, a cancer survivor and owner of Chacon’s Catering and The Gastro Grill Food Truck will be donating the food for the event.

Body del Sol Medical Spa is now taking reservations for the complimentary facials. Space is limited to 50 patients. Each person that RSVPs will be entered into a raffle to win a basket of IS Clinical Cancer Care Full Size Products.
