The fourth annual Bring the Juice golf tournament tees off Friday at Dragonfly Golf Club and is set to bring dozens of NFL players to the Central Valley this weekend.

Founded by former Fresno State football player Frank Dalena, host of the popular “Bring the Juice” podcast, the event benefits the Juice Foundation, which provides sports equipment for youth organizations across the Central Valley.

Dalena said the event has grown significantly since its first year, when it took place in heavy rain.

“The Bring the Juice brand is all about grit and overcoming adversity and every single person who bought in to play for the tournament showed up with rain gear on, ready to go, and it just spoke loudly to me about people being bought into this thing,” Dalena said.

Participation has increased since 16 NFL players took part in the first event. The 2026 tournament will feature about 60 players and expand into a two-day format.

The first day will feature an NFL-only competition where players compete against one another. Saturday will feature a pro-am format where businesses and sponsors get to draft which players they want to play with.

Among the NFL players attending are New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo, former journeyman quarterback Ben DiNucci, former Fresno State and Los Angeles Rams running back Ronnie Rivers, Giants safety Jevon Holland, Giants linebacker Micah McFadden, Tennessee Titans backup quarterback Will Levis, San Francisco 49ers long snapper Jon Weeks and backup quarterback Adrian Martinez, who graduated from Clovis West High School.

While Dalena has connections to players with Fresno ties, he said he did research on several NFL players looking for those who frequently play and post golf content on social media.

Dalena said the tournament’s goal is to evolve into a nationally recognized event focused specifically on NFL players who enjoy golf.

“There are pro-ams at places like Pebble Beach Golf Links and Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, but there really isn’t anything that’s strictly NFL,” Dalena said.

Local businesses play a major role in supporting the event, including FFB Bank and Table Mountain Casino Resort, along with agricultural companies and other regional sponsors.

Dalena said the long-term goal is to continue expanding the tournament while keeping its Valley roots.

“We want this thing to grow,” he said. “But at the end of the day, it’s about raising money for the foundation and doing something positive for the Valley.”

The event is free to the public.
