Fresno will prepare to “be bowled” at the grand opening of the Central Valley’s first-ever Bowlero location Sept. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Located at 6450 N. Blackstone Ave, the former AMF Sierra location, Bowlero will be a bowling alley, bar, arcade and restaurant hybrid, created by global company Bowlmor AMF.
At 50,000 square feet, the building will include 48 black light lanes, a creative “oversized shareable” menu including a USA Today top-ranked 5-pound burger, a high-tech and traditional arcade and sports bar.
Bowlero will operate seven days a week, and will include rental options for events such as birthday parties and more. The building will be complete with a ‘73 Ford Mustang at the entrance.
Fresno Bowlero is one of 80 expected locations to open by 2020, along with a Visalia branch, which is projected to open Sept. 23.
“We think Fresno is a great location with a bunch of families, which allows us to offer many different things for many different people,” said Julia Skobeleva, regional marketing manager for Bowlmor AMF, in an interview.
The grand opening will include free bowling and arcade games, $4 pints and a live performance of local band the Hubcap Stealers.
Skobeleva expects 200-500 people to attend.
Reservations for the event can be made at the Bowlero website.
