The Business Journal is planning a special issue on Sept. 15, which is the 10-year anniversary of when Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy. Sept. 15-19, 2008 is generally considered one of the most pivotal weeks that kicked off the Great Recession.
With the economy roaring once again, we want to feature the stories of businesses in Fresno, Kings, Madera and Tulare counties that survived the Great Recession and are still operating today.
We want to show our readers what these business owners learned and what lessons they took away. Because, as anyone who follows economics knows, these things come in cycles. It’s not a matter of if another recession will hit, but when.
We also want to know of any “kidpreneurs” that we can feature in that issue. We’re thinking kids age 10-13ish who were born during the Great Recession and now run their own successful businesses.
if any of this applies to you, this would be a great way to get in front of our 10,000-plus print readers and many more via the web. If you have a suggestion, please email editor@thebusinessjournal.com or call 559-490-3467.
Thank you!
