On July 16, a group of professionals from the beauty industry will host the first annual Cultivate Beauty Conference in Clovis, offering industry professionals the opportunity to expand their knowledge and share ideas and techniques.
The conference will take place at Clovis Veterans Memorial District building at 808 Fourth St. in Clovis, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature visuals and interviews from industry executives including Dara Calzada of Makeup by Dara, Huoa of Hulaves Brows, Arlene Robles of Nova Esthetix, as well as a variety of Q&A panels and breakout rooms.
“This is the first conference of its kind for the beauty industry in Central California,” said Kelli Torrence, founder of Cultivate Beauty Conference and owner of Forever Adored in Clovis.
Featuring 40 vendor booths for educational service demos and retail product sales, the event will also showcase several salons offering employment opportunities and open stations.
A DJ and photobooth will be on site adding action and entertainment for stylists in attendance.
Torrence said that the importance of this event is highlighted by the pandemic-driven industry shutdowns, which led many stylists and aestheticians to be unemployed for over a year and a half.
“Beauty professionals who run their businesses locally are accustomed to traveling for quality training and connection,” she said. “This year, I’m excited to bring the education to Clovis!”
Additional information and tickets are available on the Cultivate Beauty Conference website.
