Fresno has once again shown that it cannot get Kenough of Barbie with the announcement of a one-day event featuring the Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour at Fashion Fair Mall this Saturday.

Last year, Mattel celebrated its 50th anniversary of its Malibu Barbie during a year that also saw its movie, Barbie, gross nearly $1.5 billion, tying the studio record to reach the $1 billion mark globally after just 17 days.

The tour is a continuation of the 60th anniversary of the first Barbie Dreamhouse, which was released by toy retailers in 1962.

Guests will be able to purchase a variety of Barbie Dreamhouse-themed apparel, as well as home goods and accessories inspired by the Mattel classic including t-shirts, hoodies and hats, as well as necklaces, plates, pet bowls, mugs and other accessories.

Guests are also eligible for a free gift with a purchase of more than $40.

Encouraging children everywhere to dream big, Barbie bought her first Dreamhouse in 1962, before women in the United States could open their own bank accounts and when only 0.1% of young women were independent homeowners,” a news release reads. “More than 60 years later, Barbie’s Dreamhouse remains iconic. In fact, the brand sells one Dreamhouse every minute.”

The original Barbie Truck tour kicked off in 2019 with the Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Tour, followed by the Malibu Truck Tour in 2021.

Guests will be able to purchase items from the truck by credit card. Prices range from $12 to $75. More information can be found at barbie.com/barbietruck.
