Another CVS location in Fresno is closing its doors Wednesday, coming off the heels of the closure of the Downtown Fresno CVS last September.
According to employees, the store located at 4077 W. Clinton Ave. off of Brawley Avenue has been slated to close for over a month; signage posted on the front entrance lists the store’s final operating day as today – Sept. 20.
As of 6 p.m., the nearest CVS location will be the store located at 1325 W. Shields Ave. in Fresno.
The latest closure follows a trend of downscaling by the company. Last year the Rhode Island-based chain cited market dynamics, population shifts and store density as reasons for shuttering local locations.
A CVS location in Fowler also closed last year.
A pharmacy representative at the Clinton location said that all prescriptions will need to be transferred to an alternate location.
