Amazon has announced it’s hiring for 250,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal roles across the U.S., including nearly 30,000 positions in California and over 1,000 jobs in the Central Valley ahead of the holiday season.
The FAT 1 Amazon facility in Fresno is looking to fill 800 seasonal roles and the FAT 2 facility in Visalia will fill just over 450 seasonal roles.
The seasonal Amazon jobs offer competitive pay, flexible schedules, and many of the roles come with the potential to turn into full-time employment, which includes benefits such as health care starting on day one of employment, pre-paid tuition, 401k savings match, paid parental leave, and more.
The company also recently released its 2025 Economic Impact Report, which highlights investments in California and communities across the U.S.
Amazon has invested more than $1.5 trillion in the U.S. and invested $218 billion in California, contributing to local economic growth and jobs.
Amazon has added $221 billion in California’s GDP, in addition to the company’s direct investments. They employ more than 154,009 full-time and part-time employees in California, resulting in more than 147,000 indirect jobs supported on top of the direct hires across the state.
Amazon’s data center investments have created thousands of skilled jobs and career pathways across the nation, including more than $5 billion investments between 2011-2024, supporting 1,800 jobs in California.
“Our seasonal roles provide a fantastic opportunity for people seeking additional income during the holidays while gaining valuable experience at Amazon,” said David Koneck, general manager of Amazon’s SBD6 Fulfillment Center in Ontario, California.
