Randy’s Donuts, the Los Angeles franchise with the famous rooftop doughnut, is looking to open its first location in Fresno in the first quarter of 2024.

Two franchise locations — possibly three — are planned in the Fresno area, reported Brett Todd, senior vice president/principal at Colliers International. Todd represents the franchisee, a family-owned corporation in the area with an agreement to open several Central Valley stores.

A lease has been signed for the first Fresno store to open near the corner of Palm and Bullard avenues in early 2024. Two other sites of interest are under lease negotiations, Todd said.

Randy Donut’s recently signed a lease on a commissary facility in Northwest Fresno where donuts will be prepared for daily distribution to local stores.

Todd said the new business will bring more than 20 full- and part-time positions to the Fresno area with the commissary and three planned store locations.

“We hope to encourage other popular northern and southern CA franchises to join the growing Fresno and Central CA communities. This would bring new jobs, products, and experiences to the rapidly growing valley population,” said Todd.

Randy’s Donuts is fast-growing, with plans for 150 franchised locations to open or be under development in the U.S. by the end of 2023.

Some 300 additional locations are planned internationally.

The chain has 19 international franchise locations in the Philippines, South Korea and Saudi Arabia. There are currently 15 locations in the U.S. Nine are corporate owned, reported the LA Business Journal.
