The Central Valley’s largest accounting firms added dozens of new certified public accountants from 2024 to 2025.

The top five accounting firms in Fresno, Kings, Madera and Tulare counties have added 26 additional CPAs to their local offices in that time. 

The Business Journal surveyed the major firms in the Valley, ranking the top 20 by the number of CPAs who operate out of Fresno, Kings, Madera and Tulare counties.

Founded in 1913, Baker Tilly ranked No. 1 with 52 CPAs in the Valley – up from 34 in 2024. 

That growth is attributed to staff passing the CPA exam along with a few new hires.

Baker Tilly came to Fresno by way of a merger with Moss Adams completed in June. It is now the sixth largest advisory CPA firm in the U.S.

Baker Tilly employs a total of 90 staff in their Fresno office and provides accounting, tax, consulting and wealth management services.

The firm specializes in a variety of industries including agribusiness, real estate, construction, manufacturing and distribution.

They also work with clients in the health care industry, nonprofit sector, food and beverage processing, private and family businesses and more.

Green and Company, LLP, came in second on the list. Founded in 1951, the Tulare-based firm employs 90 staff — 26 of whom are CPAs. 

The company with five local offices provides auditing, book keeping, planning, valuation and financial services to Valley businesses.

In addition, they offer auditing, litigation support, management consulting, tax/planning and fraud services to their customers.

Green and Company lists agribusiness, dairies, governmental auditing, broadcasting and cooperatives as its specialties.

They also provide services for family and closely held businesses, nonprofits, trust/estate services and more.

Boos & Associates, A Professional Corporation, ranked No. 3 with 26 CPAs operating out of their Fresno office.

It was founded in 2004, and employs 91 people across their four Central Valley locations.

In addition to providing tax services —  tax assurances, credits and incentives, Boos & Associates offers accounting and advisory services, payroll, turn around and restructuring services, consulting and information technology services.

Boos & Associates debuted on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in the U.S. in August. With three-year revenue growth of 241%, it ranked No. 1,808 out of 5,000 companies.

Ranked at No. 4 was Price Paige & Company, which was founded in 1976.

The company reported a total of 23 CPAs and 58 staff working for their Clovis office.

They offer a variety of tax-based services – Including accounting and auditing, tax preparation and planning.

Price Paige & Company also provides client advisory services and governmental consulting.

Their specialties include governmental and nonprofit auditing, professional services, governmental consulting and bookkeeping.

As well as farming and agriculture, family and closely held business, estate sales, trusts and client advisory services.

DeMera DeMera Cameron, LLP came in at No. 5 with 18 local CPAs and 37 total staff in their Fresno office.

The company offers services such as estate and succession planning, client advisory services, business consulting and more.

Their provided tax services include tax planning and compliance, audit and assurance services and bookkeeping.

DeMera DeMera Cameron specializes in agribusiness — spanning from small to large family farms.
