The Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation will host a ribbon cutting Friday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., celebrating the grand opening of Fire Foods Meal Prep, a food delivery meal prep service.
First launched in 2023, founder Enedina Neves said the company offers customers the opportunity to eat well on the go, featuring nutritious meals designed to fuel busy lifestyles.
The business started by offering meals with delivery points at local gyms.
“I wanted to create something that people could eat week after week without getting burned out,” Neves said in an Instagram post announcing the expansion. “What I wanted to bring was creativity to healthy meal preps that would last.”
Fire Foods brings a variety of cultural foods into their meal preps, utilizing Hispanic and Asian flavors as well as barbecue, cajun and more, packed securely into serving-appropriate containers.
Neves, who first thought of the concept when meal prepping, said that she hopes the business can help locals succeed in their journey of fitness and health.
“I did not think it was going to get to this point,” she added. “It started with me meal prepping for my brother. He wanted to gain more muscle; he wanted to get his strength up as an athlete.”
Fire Foods Meal Prep updates its menu weekly, with orders accepted Tuesday through Friday. Customers can have their meals shipped directly to their door, or pick up their weekly meals from several members-only gyms, as well as Cencal Barbell and the new Fire Foods Meal Prep location in Downtown Fresno.
“This moment shows how far I’ve come since 2023,” Neves said in a news release. “This isn’t just about the ribbon cutting — it’s about opening doors to new opportunities and connections, while showing my kids and this community what’s possible when you don’t give up.”
Friday’s ribbon cutting, which will take place at 943 E Street in Chinatown, is part of an ongoing resurgence of businesses in the area; in July, the city reopened Tulare Avenue’s grade separation underpass, reconnecting Downtown Fresno with Chinatown.
Fire Foods Meal Prep serves Clovis, Fresno and Madera. Orders can be placed online, with discounts available for bulk orders.
