When Jamie Manock came home one day with a horse trailer, her family was stunned. What started as a shocked reaction quickly turned into a local success story.

Manock, 23, is the owner of Saddle Sips Saloon, a mobile bartending service she started in 2024. She said the inspiration for Saddle Sips Saloon came from seeing others convert trailers into traveling bars.

“I saw these girls were just renovating trailers and starting these mobile bar businesses out of them,” Manock said. “I was like, I could totally see myself doing this.”

Timing was important for Saddle Sips Saloon.

“I was 21 at the time, and I was like, ‘I don’t think I’d be doing this if I was 30, or had kids,’” Manock, who is also a part-time teacher’s aide, said. “So I just really took the risk and jumped on it.”

Manock got inspiration from her late great-grandmother, Carolyn Peck, one of the founders of Valley Children’s Hospital.

“She also built a ranch winery called Sumner Peck Ranch,” Manock said of Peck. “I grew up out there, labeling wine bottles as a little girl; all my summers were spent out there. When she passed away, it was pretty devastating for my whole family. But this is a way to carry on her legacy.”

Manock credits her creativity to Peck and compares her trailer to a small house.

“I don’t own a house yet. That’s my next goal. But I was just seeing this as like a little mini house I was kind of putting together,” Manock said. “I just went full force with all the decorations and just the little details, because I think that’s really what catches people’s eyes.”

Saddle Sips Saloon is a dry hire bar, meaning that the attendees at the events use the drinks provided to them at the event, or bring their own. Manock provides mixers, garnishes, signage and glassware.

On the Saddle Sips Saloon website, there is a dedicated section to customer reviews, displaying the positive feedback that Manock and Saddle Sips Saloon receive from event goers. Events range from school carnivals to weddings and everything in between.

“Jamie was amazing,” wrote Kayla Fetcho. “She provided exceptional service every step of the way and communicated with me thoroughly. She offered amazing tips and ideas and even went a step further to make custom stickers for the cups for my wedding with me and my husband’s initials and wedding date on them. Everything was perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing. They are a great mobile bar service and would definitely recommend to anybody!!”

Manock said she gets filled with excitement every time a customer leaves a positive review.

“Every review someone leaves me, I’m literally kicking my feet up because it makes me so happy,” Manock said. “It’s been a lot of word of mouth, and I’ve only been marketing on social media, so that’s kind of what’s really cool — seeing how people are talking and loving what I’m doing.”

Manock, who grew up with a Catholic background, said that starting Saddle Sips Saloon was also inspired by her faith and a calling from God to work in the wedding industry in some capacity.

“I felt like God was calling me to build a Catholic chapel, and Saddle Sips is the perfect first step toward that goal,” Manock said. “I’ve found so much joy in being part of the celebrations people share with their loved ones. The money I earn will help me work toward my ultimate dream of creating a beautiful wedding venue.”
