The Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) and the Madera County Superintendent of Schools (MCSOS) celebrated the opening of a new on-site ATM with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday.

Located just outside the MCSOS building at 1025 S. Madera Ave., the 24-hour ATM expands access to financial services including deposits, withdrawals, transfers and balance inquiries.

The installation reflects a continued partnership between the two organizations focused on community investment and accessibility.

“We’re proud to partner with the Madera County Superintendent of Schools to expand access to essential financial services with the opening of this new ATM,” said Elizabeth J. Dooley, EECU president and CEO, in a news release. “This central location provides around-the-clock access and helps us better serve the Madera community.”

EECU also operates a full-service branch in Madera on Yosemite Avenue, along with ATMs at Madera Community College and in Madera Ranchos. The credit union serves more than 20,800 members in Madera County.

The event featured remarks from Madera County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cecilia Massetti, as well as a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony held in partnership with the Madera Chamber of Commerce.

Students from the nearby MCSOS Early Education Center joined the celebration, taking photos with EECU’s mascot, Eddie the Owl.

In total, EECU serves 12 Central California and Central Coast counties, with 23 branches and over 390,000 members.
